Another example of the walnut/curly maple lidded bowl-box. This one has a maple inset in the knob.
An example of one of the many lidded bowl-boxes I turned from black walnut and fitted a curly maple lid with walnut knob. This one is about 8 inches diameter and 2 inches deep, not including the lid and knob. This one has a lip turned into the lid, while most of the others are plain.
Turned from curly maple, this lidded box stands about 8 inches tall and is about 2.5 inches diameter and has a captive ring around the stem.

A pair of wine goblets in curly maple.
The captive ring around the stem signifies friendship.
They stand about 7 inches high and are finished in a alcohol/waterproof finish.
Pretty much a matched pair, turned from the same hunk of curly maple.
$90 each or $150 for the pair.

Ash Bowl with natural bark edge. Approx 8" by 7" by 6" high. Turned "green" from the outer circumference of the tree, leaving the bark as the edge of the bowl. Air drying after turning gives the bowl it's oval shape.
Finished in Tung Oil.

$160.00

This platter turned from Apple is an example of finding hidden treasures inside an otherwise featureless hunk of wood. Removing the outer waste revealed spalting and some marvelous holes carved by a long-since departed wood beetle. 11 " diameter by 2.5 " deep. The picture doesn't do this piece justice, it has to seen and touched in person.

$180.00.
